Equipment hired out by the day without double booking, and the running cost of every vehicle.
Never promise what is out.
Say how many units of each item you own. A rental is booked only if enough are free on every day it needs them, and an item kept past its end date stays unavailable until it is back.
Hand it over, mark it returned and make the invoice: days past the booked end are charged, the deposit to collect is shown, and the invoice carries the SAC code for renting goods.
What each vehicle costs to run.
Log fuel, service, tolls and repairs with the odometer reading. Each vehicle shows its running cost, cost per kilometre and mileage, and the next renewal among its insurance, PUC, fitness and permit dates. A reading lower than an earlier one is refused.
